Born from Original Dawn × Dawn Saffron, Chub Bazi brings two familiar expressions of Dawn together within a new geometric composition of repetition, direction, contrast, and movement.

Drawing inspiration from the rhythmic stick-dance traditions associated with Greater Khorasan and the wider Persian cultural world, the design reflects the central idea behind Dance Stories: familiar expressions of Dawn finding new rhythm through movement and composition.

The original Dawn geometry and the Saffron color story alternate through vertical and horizontal arrangements, creating a repeating visual rhythm across the design. Neither expression disappears. Instead, they move together—transforming two established members of the Dawn family into something new.

Now, Color Finds Its Rhythm.

Designed for warmth, comfort, and everyday layering, the Origins: Dawn Chub Bazi Zip Hoodie carries this new expression of Dawn across a medium-weight fleece jacket with an all-over design. Its classic fit, roomy hood, full-length black zipper, and spacious front pockets make it a versatile layer for cooler weather and everyday wear.

Crafted from 100% polyester with a medium-weight 7.4 oz/yd² (250 g/m²) fabric, the Chub Bazi Zip Hoodie is custom cut and sewn and assembled in the USA from globally sourced parts.

About the Design

Origins: Dawn Chub Bazi continues the journey of Dawn.

The story began with Original Dawn, a balanced geometric composition inspired by heritage, craftsmanship, nature, and contemporary living.

Dawn Saffron followed as one of eight Spice Stories, transforming the character of the original pattern through color while preserving its underlying geometry and rhythm.

Now, the two come together.

Original Dawn × Dawn Saffron becomes Chub Bazi.

Through a shared checkerboard composition, alternating orientations create repetition, direction, contrast, and visual movement. Drawing inspiration from the rhythmic stick-dance traditions associated with Greater Khorasan and the wider Persian cultural world, the composition gives two familiar expressions of Dawn a new contemporary identity.
